The human being cannot be cleverer than God. If you didn’t know, now you know that all systems that shape this earth, were taken from the Bible. Human beings did not, on their own think of building prisons to send fellow humans to confinement places, some with hard labour and others with death penalty. They were instructed by God. Actually, Moses, the leader at the time, was told by God to build cities of refuge for the offender until he was tried – read it for yourself in Numbers 35:15. It was possible, even to this day, that one could kill someone by mistake and for that reason God asked Moses and his people to allow the offender to run to another city (exile) before the relatives of the dead person took revenge on him.
That is how these cities of refuge came into existence. They were meant for good. God gave Moses and his people various laws to live by. As time went on and because of many disputes that were rising in the communities, God appointed judges to solve matters. With time prison dungeons were set up and today we have better prisons all over the world. In my opinion, knowing very well that God is so loving and does not want us to suffer the second death, he introduced these prisons and harsh punishment on earth, hoping that the fear of going to jail would shape our lives for the better before we die. However, not many people are afraid of going in and out of prison and for this reason God had to come up with another plan. God’s plan was to send the rebellious to a permanent prison, and he called this prison the second death or hell.
This prison unlike the one we have on earth, is for eternity, there is no parole, there is no term, there is no turning back, it is a permanent decision. The painful part is that people go there for a very petty issue, just refusing to open one’s mouth and say, “Lord Jesus come into my life, I believe you are the Son of God, I believe you died for me and God raised you up from the dead”. That is what many people are refusing to say. On the other hand, there is good news for those in our current prisons on this planet. If you say the words above, even if you were to die in that prison, no matter what crime you committed, stealing or murder or anything in between, heaven is for you (Luke 23:43).
When humanity continued to sin, instead of destroying and starting all over again like he did with Noah, God decided he would rather separate the good from evil at the end of their life and send the disobedient to hell and keep the obedient ones in heaven. The snake that deceived Adam and Eve continues to plant evil in people’s minds to this day causing them to lose their inheritance in the life to come. That ancient serpent is operational even among the elect. Our Maker found another way to deal with the AD group just as he found a way to deal with the first family in the flood and the BC group in the wilderness. We pick up God’s plan from the parable below.
The Parable of the Weeds
“Jesus put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away. When the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.
The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn.’”” (Matthew 13:24-30).
When Jesus explains the meaning of the parable, it is very sad to note that our enemy, the devil plants evil into the people and they end up being destroyed in second death (Matthew 13:36-43). Who is this devil and how did he come up to be where he is today?
Not only humans betrayed God, but even his angels too they misbehaved by marrying sons of men as we saw in the fourth chapter (Genesis 6:2). The book of Jude which has only one chapter summarises the wrongs of the BC group and that of angels. “Although you are fully aware of this, I want to remind you that after the Lord had delivered his people out of the land of Egypt, he destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not stay within their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling, these he has kept in eternal chains under darkness, bound for judgment on that great day (Jude 1:5-6).
God had an angel called Lucifer who allowed the spirit of pride to enter him and rebelled against God (1Timothy 3:6). He challenged God as narrated in Isaiah 14 from verse 12. He was cast out of heaven and took with him a third of God’s angels who turned out to be demons working together with Lucifer who is now called Satan (Revelation 12:4, 7-9). I believe the fall of Satan happened before any man was created based on the order presented by Peter in 2 Peter 2:4-8 where he mentions that angels sinned first, followed by the human race. Also 1 Peter 3:19 tells us that, after Jesus Christ resurrected, he went and preached to the spirits in prison (hell) and these spirits belonged to the people that had perished in the flood of Noah, which informs us that, by that time hell already existed which was initially made for the fallen angels.
Know for a fact that hell was never created for the human being. It was meant for the fallen angels as Matthew 25:41 teaches us. “”Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41).
In 2 Peter 2:4 we get a clear explanation as to why the demons in Matthew 8:29 spoke to Jesus the way they did. “For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them deep into hell, placing them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment…”. The demons knew Jesus very well, obviously because they were once in heaven when they were still angels, and they knew his authority as the Son of God. This is why the demons said to Jesus, “What do you want with us, Son of God?…Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (Matthew 8:29). The appointed time is the ‘judgement’ that 2 Peter 2:4 mentions above.
However, as inhabitants of this earth, we have no clue as to when the appointed time for their torture will be. But one thing we are certain about is this, every appointed time has to be prayed for by the human being as we saw in chapter 2, Praying For Prophecy. Whenever we are tired of anything, we should go to God in prayer and ask him to move, on our behalf. Revelation 12:11 teaches us that those in heaven managed to cast down Satan and his demons “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). You and I, have the same power of the blood of Jesus Christ and the same word that Jesus Christ used when he was led to the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:1-11). From Genesis to Revelations every human being is empowered with “It is written…” and with this weapon, we can cast Satan and his cohorts out of earth too.
As of now, the knowledge at our disposal is that, the devil was never meant to be here on earth. When God created the earth in the beginning, there was no mention of Satan and his demons living with us here. We also know that after his fall he was somewhere between heaven and earth, where he would go to God and accuse the brethren, like Job (Job 1:6-12). We are told that he was thrown out of heaven for good, because heaven had no place for him (Revelation 12:7-12). He came flying to our planet earth and the sons of men did nothing about it. When a rebel or a fugitive from another country enters your territory what do you do? Do you keep him or you extradite him to the country where the crime was committed? Why then are we sitting around and not praying to God to remove Satan from the planet he made for us? Why are we not commanding Satan to leave our territory (earth) and declare in the name of Jesus that the appointed time for his torture is now?
The devil has taken occupation of our land, our seas and oceans. Revelation 12:12 says that, “Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” So far two thousand and twenty years have lapsed, and he is still waging war with the children of God. I believe, like the children of Israel who spent extra 30 years of unnecessary torture in Egypt, we too are suffering out of lack of knowledge. Surely, you would agree with me that, two thousand and twenty years is not a short time but a very long time to be oppressed by the devil. So those who committed themselves to doing a ‘Daniel fast’ every year, may you please follow what Daniel prayed for. He prayed for prophecy to come to pass. May you please take this prophecy to God in prayer too, and ask God to start his torture and torment on the fallen angels for the sons of man have had enough misery caused by the evil one here on earth (Matthew 8:29).
I believe God has work for his angels and also delegates some of the work to his children on earth, if we do nothing, God will do nothing. However, when we move in prayer, not in tears and not when calamity falls on us, but when all is well with us, God will then move on our behalf. If we do not pray that God takes the devil and his cohorts to the place he prepared for them and torture them forever (Revelation 20:10), Satan will keep on deceiving many of our people. God did not appoint Satan to do the work he is doing. The devil is not in charge of hell, neither did the devil create hell for his people. He is on the same level as anyone whose fate ends in hell. The quicker we rise up together as one and plead the blood of Jesus Christ over everyone alive on earth today the better for us and for our children to come after us. The accuser of brethren was cast out of heaven, it is our turn to cast him out of earth, otherwise, three quarters of the world population goes into second death.
The topic on second death is new to many, for this reason I will go into greater detail explaining and providing the necessary background information. Everyone who is on this earth today has a book that was written about him or her years before they were born. Our days were concluded way before we were planted in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:16). The Holy Spirit does the work of planting God’s already made products into wombs. This work did not only start in Matthew 1:20, but that verse only reveals to us how human beings that have been created by God in heaven come into the wombs of their mothers. They come to earth, by the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfil their God given assignment as we see in Matthew 1:21. Yes, human beings will do their act of human production but what comes out, is what was already made in heaven.
Reading the Bible helps, you get inside information more than anyone else. When my time to go to heaven comes, nothing will surprise me because I already know what transpires out there. To those who think that they were planned by their parents alone, that is, without the involvement of God, hear this now. In 1 Kings 13:2 the prophet by the Spirit of God announces the coming of a man by the name of Josiah, 300 years before he was born. Read the scripture here: “By the word of the Lord he cried out against the altar: “Altar, altar! This is what the Lord says: ‘A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on you.’” (1 Kings 13:2)
Another notable person whose name was mentioned 150 years or more before he was born is Cyrus the Great (Isaiah 44:24-28; Isaiah 45). God had a book written about these two already, all he had to do was to look for two couples that would bring them here on earth. Can I tell you something that I observed in the Ten Commandments? The only commandment with a promise is the commandment that talks about honouring your parents. I combined Exodus 20:12 and Ephesians 6:3 so that the younger generation may understand it clearly. It says, “Honour your father and your mother, so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Think about how rebellious children would be if they knew that they are here on God’s assignment only and parents were just carriers, besides that they have no purpose in their lives. But now we know the truth why the commandment has a promise and we all want that promise, for that reason we will honour our parents whether they deserve that honour or not, whether they took good care of us or neglected us, we will still honour them so that it goes well with us.
Here is what I think happens when we are about to die based on information I read in the Bible. When our time is up, heaven authorities go into a meeting and they talk about the end of anyone of us here in the land of the living. I got this information from 1 Kings 22:19-23 which says, “Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’And one suggested this, and another that.
Then a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will entice him’. ‘By what means?’ asked the Lord.
And he replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’
‘You will surely entice him and prevail,’ said the Lord. ‘Go and do it.’” (1 Kings 22:19-23).
This is how we meet our death, nothing comes to God as a surprise. Have you ever wondered how vultures know that an animal or human being is about to die? They follow the animal in the forest until it drops dead and they feast on the carcass. God would not give vultures such intelligences and a strong sense of smell and leave himself to have a heart attack whenever a soul enters heaven. No, not at all, before you collapse God’s angels would be by your side to take you to heaven because the meeting on how to end your life was done beforehand in heaven, the head office of the living. While doctors are working on you, your angels will be waiting by the side to take you home, heaven is our permanent home.
So, when we die, whether we were disciples of Christ or not, the angels of God will show us the way and take us to Jesus (Revelation 1:7). When we get to Jesus, I believe a “video” of all that we did on earth will be played before us, and Jesus will tell each one of us what he is happy with from our first life and what he is not happy with just as we see him judge the seven churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. Out of the seven churches, only two churches, Smyrna and Philadelphia had no blemish, four churches had good and bad reports and the church of Laodicea had no good report whatsoever. Remember we said that, according to Matthew 16:18, you are the biggest church. Therefore, take time to read the report that was given to each of the seven churches in Revelation for they describe the hardships that surround us as individuals, hardships that may hinder our worship and yet the Lord encourages us to embrace the indomitable perseverance and tenacity in order to obtain the crown of life. Basically, each church describes our individual characters in and outside the Kingdom of God, let us aim to be the church of Philadelphia, that is, the faithful church.
I believe that, this is how we will be judged according to Revelation 11:18. Jesus then makes a decision on the kind of reward he gives each one of us and whether one goes to heaven or hell according to our deeds in the land of the living (Revelation 11:18; 20:12). I also believe that most of the things recorded in the book of Revelation took place already. If judgement of the dead is still waiting for a certain time, there was no need for Jesus to do what he did in 1 Peter 3:19, there was no urgency for that work. Let us read the verse in question, “After being made alive, he went and preached to the imprisoned spirits to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water” (1 Peter 3:19).
Therefore, I strongly believe that there are souls burning in hell right now and there are souls enjoying heaven right now (Revelation 14:13). The scriptures below warn us in advance that everything we do here, we will be answerable for it at the end of our earthly life.
“For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done” (Matthew 16:27)
If you don’t believe the gospel according to Matthew 16:27 above, maybe you will believe the next scripture from the book of Romans which says, “God will repay each person according to what they have done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honour and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. But glory, honour and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favouritism” (Romans 2:6-11).
Maybe you may say I only believe a message if it appears in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Well that is fine too, your Saviour Jesus Christ was not angry with doubting Thomas when he said he would only believe when he had seen his wounds, Jesus showed him the wounds because he is full of mercy, Jesus is full of grace and goodness. May his Grace abound towards you and me so that the door of heaven will be opened for all of us.
Ezekiel 24:14
“‘I the Lord have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.'”
“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds (Jeremiah 17:10).
Children of God, our fate will definitely be determined based on our conduct in this first life, there is no question about it. Let us help each other to do that which is good before God and before fellow human beings. Right now Jesus is saying to you;
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent” (Revelation 3:19-21)
The information you now have about the kingdom of Jesus is more than enough and Jesus is “knocking” on the door of your heart, what are you going to do about? Won’t you open your heart for him that he may be your friend, your helper and your saviour? God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit wants the whole world in heaven (1 John 2:2), that is why this book was written and that is why it is given free of charge to every tribe and tongue. There is more than enough space in heaven for all generations past, present and future.
You have nothing to lose by believing. This is not a fairy tale, it is a reality. You belong to God. If you don’t believe, read the Old Testament and you will see for yourself that all the systems in this world were all taken from the Bible. Generations before us took the Bible, read it and did everything it said to be done, from public health (Deuteronomy 23:13), to property laws (Exodus 22) to Social Welfare (Exodus 22, Proverbs 19:17, Deuteronomy 15:7), all the way to the justice system, that is why all the courts in many countries of this world are/were using the Bible for oaths (Numbers 30:2; Exodus 20:7).
Now we see a new generation that has emerged, that wants the Bible to be removed from schools, from the courts, from the hotels, from the hospitals, from the prisons and who knows from where else. With the way it is happening the Bible might end up being banned for good. I am grateful that we are a modern society that tries to accommodate everyone and everything. However, there are dangers in removing the source from which this world was built upon. Let us take time and reason as one and go back to the roots. This is homework for all. The Bible is the origin of all our systems, let us not remove it but let us bring it back with full force. The second death is a reality, without the Bible how will people know about it? In the parable of wheat and weeds, Jesus said the enemy came in the night and planted the weeds when everybody was sleeping. I tell you that the enemy of today has become bolder, he plants weeds in broad daylight. The source of all life is being removed whilst all of us are standing witness and doing nothing about it.
Revelations 21:8 talks about the second death. It says, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars, they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.”
People of planet earth know for sure that beyond the death you already know there is a second death. This is not a joke. If all leaders in the world are so determined to keep their citizens safe and provide all the healthcare systems to prevent premature deaths by all means, I now challenge you to usher your citizens into the second life, for that is more important than this first life. Do not look to the clergy anymore, this is now your work as government leaders. It is now time for the state to take responsibility for the tripartite being, body, soul and spirit. The time has ended where governments only cater for the body of the person that voted them into power. They now need to take care of the soul and the spirit of the voter and make it their responsibility that all their citizens make it to the second life. It now calls for every MP to know how to pray and to know the Word of God. Gone are the days when you call a Bishop to come and do prayers for you in Parliament. This is an order from your Commander In Chief, Jesus Christ. He says to you, “you declared yourselves ‘Christian Countries’ because you had seen my salvation, my love, my mercy and my power. However, today you seem to have drifted away, draw nigh to me and I will draw nigh to you and be your Helper as I always have been. I am the Lord and I do not change, but you have changed. Come back to me my children”.
May all the Christian countries on earth rise up and be very strong in your God and Saviour. Look at some of the non-Christian countries how they hold on to their man-made gods and bar every visitor from worshiping the God they know. If Christians like us go there to work and wish to open our own place of worship, they will never allow us. However, when their people come to our Christian countries, they bring in their man-made gods and dictate how our schools should be run to accommodate their gods and they build temples for their million gods and we do nothing about it in the name of democracy and freedom of religion. How then do we bring everyone to the true faith when we allow visitors to come in with gods that are not gods? I think we should learn from these countries and do likewise. When they come here, let them worship what we worship just as we are NOT allowed to worship or build churches for our God in their countries. I think this is only fair and in no time they will allow us to freely enter their territories with the gospel of Christ.
In Revelations 20:14-15 we read more about the second death, it says, “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”. This book was written so that no one experiences the second death. Therefore, the many scriptures placed here are there to give you, the reader, empirical evidence, so that you may believe in Jesus Christ your Saviour and avoid the second death.
It is also my hope that even if the Bible is a book that you had no regard for, you may pause and reflect on the work of the missionaries who risked their lives travelling all over the world, preaching to every nation. Do you think they were all crazy or you think they had nothing better to do in their countries? Not at all, they were born for the tasks that they did as we discussed the work of Josiah and Cyrus earlier. We are all here on an assignment and when you go back to heaven you have to give an account of your assignment. That work you do is what God assigned you to do and you have to do it as if you are working for him directly. Therefore, all of us are here for a purpose.
Have you ever been to the St Paul’s Cathedral? I have no clue as to how the previous three buildings looked like but the one standing now is breathtaking. Do you also think the generation that built it had nothing better to build or it is because they had walked with their God? That generation had the privilege of reading the Bible which had been translated to English. I believe they tried the content of the Bible and saw that surely there is a God who is more powerful than the strongholds of the earth. Then they worshipped him and built this magnificent House of Prayer called the St Paul’s Cathedral being inspired, as I would think, by 1 Chronicles 22:5 which says, “The house to be built for the Lord should be of great magnificence and fame and splendour in the sight of all the nations” and indeed its fame attracts many visitors from all over the world. That same generation as I visualise them in my mind, continued to read the translated Bible and shaped most of the systems of the country according to the instructions in the Bible. Today its citizens are enjoying the fruits of their labour. I also believe that everyone who goes to the Cathedral is drawn to it because their soul desires a Saviour. Your soul hopes that as you get there your spiritual eyes will be opened by what you see. Once opened you will rise up from your ignorance of refusing to relate to your Maker and love your God, in the same manner that the St Paul’s Cathedral generation did. The next time you visit the Cathedral, just say, “Lord Jesus, give me the heart of worship that I may worship God with all my heart, soul and strength. I may not be able to build such a structure for you, but in my heart and mind I now build a magnificent internal cathedral for you. Amen”.
I wish I had another way to persuade everyone to believe that there is life beyond the coffin, there is life beyond the cemetery, there is life after death, there is a better home beyond the one you know but there is also a worse prison beyond the one you know.
There is a verse in Romans which teaches that the wages of sin is death. The verse is referring to the second death not the first death because all righteous and evil will walk the walk of the first death. But those who accepted the gift of life will have eternal life (second life), meaning they won’t go through the second death, which is the “wage of sin”. It says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). The death here refers to second death.
Revelation 20:6
“Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years”.
“The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death” (Revelation 2:11).
It is my hope that the words in this chapter will serve everyone from dying the second death. I pray for you not to miss heaven, pray for me too that we all meet in heaven. We may not know each other here but in heaven we will know everything for we will all be spirits in new heavenly bodies. The earthly body is a network blocker or knowledge blocker, but the heavenly body has no barrier it has coverage of everything, therefore we will know each other. Let us make a vow to be a generation that has agreed as one to meet in heaven. Let our technology bring us to one place where we share and fill one another with the knowledge of the Lord.
Call to prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, we give you honour, praise and thanks for all that you are to us. We thank you for the love you have for us. We honour you for all the methods that you have used in order to save your children from second death. We collectively ask you to pardon us for our disobedience, for refusing to acknowledge you as the owner of everything on earth and for not worshipping you the way we should, here on this planet earth. We have chosen to give you, your place of honour in this world. We have decided to give ourselves to you and ask you to rule and reign over us as in the beginning of time. Psalm 24:1-2 tells us that, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters”. Please, Lord God Almighty, we are all yours, may you save all of us from going through the second death. Usher us into your eternal life by the power of your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
